About The Firecracker Foundation
Based in Lansing, Michigan, The Firecracker Foundation is a community-based, grassroots 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that is survivor-led, trauma-informed and focused on providing children between the ages of 3-18 and their families with a healing-centered response to child sexual abuse (CSA).
TFF has built an organization whose core members’ identities are rooted within and across communities, so it is reflective of the people who engage with it. Seventy percent of TFF staff are Black, and our lead contractors are people of color. Decision makers at TFF include representatives of the LGBTQ community, people with disabilities, and numerous survivors of different forms of sexual violence. The diversity of their lived experiences drive program development, the curation of healing spaces, and public advocacy and awareness efforts that are survivor-led and healing justice centered.
